At the age of sixteen, most teenagers cant live without the internet or their cell phones. But in my case, I can not live without my family and friends. Some people may say this isn't a possession, but to me it means the world. I was born into a family of people who are awesome and loving. This seems to be my one most prized possession. Everyday it seems that we either talk on the phone or see each other. On my dad's side, I am the youngest of fourty-seven grand-children. There are 120 great-grandchildren, who are my second cousins. This is just on my father's side alone. Since I am the only one who is still a teenager out of my cousins, I am the baby of the family. People might think I would get treated like a baby, but not in my family. My oldest cousin is fifty-two and he even treats me with respect. They are by far normal. Every year on the week of the Fourth Of July, we celebrate by having a Dotson Reunion at my house for at least four days. Everyone relaxes and has a great time. On my mother's side, I am the eight oldest of fourteen grandchildren and I also have three second cousins. I'm not as close to my mother's side as I am to my dad's, but we all still get along. My other greatest possession are my friends. Friends and family are the one most important thing in my life, and without them I wouldn't be here. Without friends I would not have the character that I have today and I'm very thankful for that.

I think that no teenager could live without a computer. Teenagers use computers all of the time and they need them for various reasons. If you would take away most teenagers computers they would probably fail in a lot of areas; such as, grades, and social status. Students use the computer to research items for papers, personal gain, and for fun. If you would take the computer privileges away from a teenager they couldn’t look up many things they need to get a report or paper done. Most teenagers will look up some news or gossip that they probably wouldn’t of learned without the help or the computer and the internet. Most people will, instead of looking on the news on T.V., they will just look on yahoo or A.O.L. People also share information such as medical research or just fun ideas for a volcano. So if someone really sat down and thought about it teenagers, and people around the world, really use the computer and would be devastated by its loss even if it is just some gossip or some important information for a paper people need the computer. Teenagers also download, music, games, movies, and information. Many items are stored some you don’t care about but others you will really need later in the future. Computers are the most important item a teenager has because without it we wouldn’t be able to do what we do in our everyday lives without a much harder difficulty and many errors.

Imagine that you just dropped off your friend at her house and you are going back home.
The gas light is on, but you think that you can make it to the gas station in time. However, you are wrong. Now you are stranded on a country road with the closest gas station over twenty miles away. You reach for your cell phone to call your parents for help, but you realize that you left it at home. What do you do? I don’t know what I would do if I didn’t have my cell phone with me and fully charged at all times. In the situation above, I would even have to wait for a person with a cell phone to drive by and call for help. No one can deny that cell phones are extremely helpful. Cell phones are used to let parents know where their kids are and what they are doing. In an emergency, a cell phone can contact the people needed much faster. Since they are mobile, calling and getting directions when I’m lost is no problem. I use it to call my friends when my parents are using the home phone or if I’m away from home. If you need to send an e-mail, some cell phones allow you to do that if a computer isn’t accessable. Boredom is another problem that can be solved with a cell phone since they have games. Music maniacs can listen to music on it. For those with a bad memory, like me, a calendar is in most cell phones which will send off an alert when there is an event I must attend. Advanced technology like cell phones do cost money, though. Therefore, I did not obtain my phone until I started going places without my parents a lot. But now, my cell phone is very important to me.

Teenagers may think they can’t live without many things. One of them is a cell phone; almost every teenager has a cell phone. Almost every teenager that has a cell phone uses it every day. A cell phone helps teenagers keep in contact with their friends and family. Most of the teenagers have cell phones that take pictures, watch movies, music, and talk to people. The second item teenagers must need is a computer. The computer allows teenagers to do many things. One of them is to play games and plan what they will do for the week. Another use to the computer is look up things on the internet for homework, games, and reports. Most teenagers use the computer to talk to friends and family across the country. Teenagers also use it to shop for clothing, games, and items they want that can’t be bought in any store around them, and look up prices on a certain item they want. The final use teenagers use the computer is to look up music. Music is another thing teenagers want. Some music teenagers listen to may be bad but teenagers need it to do something while they work or just to kill some time. Some music help teenagers learn what has happened in the past. Some music helps teenagers to exercise and many more. Some teenagers, mostly girls, need fashion magazines. They use the magazines to know what new cloths they should be wearing. The magazines also show them what is new out in the world.

One of my most prized possessions I would have to say is my car. Since I was 15 I worked over the summer to try to find a car for when I was 16 and I worked at my uncles house that he bought and is renting to people. I helped scrape all of the old paint off of it and my cousin and I had repainted the whole thing. I worked 65 hard hours that week and I am glad that I did because now i have a nice blue pontiac grand prix '93 and the guy that I bought it off of left an awsome stereo in it and that thing is really nice. The best part about it is it only cost about 600 dollars even though we had to put a couple hundred in it to help fix it up it was worth it. Now that I am 16 I have a perfect school car. The best part about being 16 and having your own car to drive is I dont have to wait on anybody to come pick me up from practice and two my friends and I can go crusing around town and just hand out. Im just hoping that I am a good driver and that me or my friends dont get in a car accident. So far in my life my car is one of the most prized possession238 besides my two dogs and my two cats. Until next time...bye.

Some people could say thier most prized possession is something they cannot live without. I am one of those people. My i-pod is my most prized possession. It is the only thing i can put into my ears with my music that i love and drown out the world. It keeps me calm and down to earth. I know it may not be the most useful thing and you may think that it is pointless to have and only causes problems, but to teens these days music is everything. Music expresses what they cannot express. When the headphones go into my ears I go to a different world of what i wish i could be. That world is filled with peace and understanding among all human beings. My i-pod goes with me everywhere i go and never leaves my side. Inside of my possession the music ranges from country to punk rock. I love every bit of them. Many people may pick their car or cell phone to be their most prized possession. I, myself, dont find a need for any of those things, but the feeling that i get when i listen to a song that is exactly what i am expressing is undescribable. As of now, my favorite bands are The Rocket Summer, Four Letter Lie, A Rocket To The Moon, and Boys Like Girls. All of those are in the rock or punk genre. What I love to do most with music is when i am home alone I just put a cd in and I blast it as loud as it can go and sing to every lyric of what I am feeling. With music and my i-pod by my side i believe that nothing can go wrong.

Some people say that there most prized possession is a car, computer, a music device, or a photograph, but my most prized possession is my Nike Rival CC Spikes from my freshman year. If asking why, it is because they lasted me the entire seasons and all the elements we had to endure that season and they got me all the way to the Regional Cross Country meet @ Tiffin. During the season it got really cold, it rained heavily during some races, and then there was those days were it was really hot. Yes the season was long but it was fun. The reason why I like them so much was during the regional meet they endured the most things that most spikes don’t encounter during the time that people use them. During the Regional meet as we were running the most oddest things happened (something to keep in mind it rained the day before). The gun went and everyone in my division ran out the first 100 meters, then it got really cold and then it started to rain, half way to the first mile a huge mud pit came up and people in the race started to lose their spikes in the mud an ran in socks, but not me it still had my spikes. Then it started to hail and huge gusts of wind started coming in and made it hard to run (this happened during the first two miles of the race). Then it became calm for the entire race (which was 1.1 mile left). After my race and then the girls ran it started up again, but this time it started lighting and had bigger size hail than the other time (the entire time I stood there watched the entire thing happen). This is why my spikes mean so much (they got me 50th place that day out 250 people, didn’t get to move cause only the top 16 people, but all in all I had a good day). –Sebastian Rue 337 words
I have many prized possessions but my most prized possession is my 30 GB Apple I-pod. I am able to keep all of my music, pictures, movies, music videos, and television shows on a little hand held device. It is about the size of a playing card and ½ a card deck thick. The top of it is black with a screen that reaches almost half of the I-pod. All of my music, and movies that I like I am able to put onto this small device. Back 30 years ago records and 8 tracks appeared and every one used them. Then 10 years later cassette tapes came out forcing the 8 tracks to go obsolete, and also the records were dieing off while the videocassette tape began. Then a decade after that C.D. s became big, D.V.D. s came out forcing the videocassette tapes to begin going obsolete, the Internet also began to come into people’s houses. Now in current times the Internet is being used by everybody to download music and movies to watch and we now are putting it all on a little hand held device to put into our pockets and use without all the D.V.D. s and C.D. s. I use my Apple I-pod for any kind of trip, use it when I am board, or if I just want to show my friends my music or a funny video I downloaded, a movie, or an awesome music video. I can use it day or night from the back light screen which makes it visual at all times. I currently have only 338 songs and 40 videos and it keeps adding at least monthly.

I don't have many possesssions that i consider prized. The one thing the I consider prized is my 512 MB MP3 player. I dont have much on it right now, but what I do have on it I listen to often. It mainly has on it song I like to listen too but other than that there's not much else. All of the songs on my MP3 player are from a burnt CD so i really don't have a clue on who the artist is, or if they are remix's. I also still consider the CD player I got a long time ago, even though I really don't use it very often anymore. It gets use every once in a while, but that is only when the battery in my MP3 player dies. My Mp3 player is very simplistic in design, but you can remove the memory chip to put one in that is bigger and better than the original. Other than those two objects there's not a whole lot that I would consider valuable or that I would concider prized.

It’s hard for me to just choose one, but I would have to say one of the most important ones is my mp3. I hate riding the bus in the morning and after school because all of the little kids are so loud and it gets really annoying. Luckily, I can listen to my mp3 to drown out the noise. It helps listening to the music when I’m having a bad day because it calms me down and I forget everything that happened. I absolutely LOVE Christian and Country music, so that gives you a pretty good idea of what I put on my mp3. While I was reading a few of the other blogs, I noticed that I’m not the only one who said music. A lot of people find comfort in music and I really think that it plays a huge role on teenagers today. With that being said, I can’t stand rap music. I like Christian rap, such as CSGz and Toby Mac, but rappers like Eminem drive me insane. I don’t understand how they get around thinking that their music is okay for teenagers to be listening to. Aside from rap, I think that a lot of other singers really need to be thinking about the lyrics they are singing. I don’t know any off the top of my head, but the “emo” music gets really really annoying. I don’t think that there is anything wrong with singing about sadness, but I think that some singers go way too far. For example, the songs that talk about suicide and major emotional struggles are horrible. Talk about depressing! With music playing such a big role in teenagers’ lives, we should be careful of what we listen to. With that being said, my mp3 plays a big role in my life, making it one of my most prized possessions.

I have many prized possessions and I'm not sure which exactly would be my most improtant, however, one of them is the very machine that I am using right now. My computer has many features that are very important to my life and even sometimes a necessity. Computers are prized possessions for millions of people because they can accomplish countless tasks very efficiantly. I need my computer for many school related activities such as the program, Word. This allows me to type required school reports and can be done from the convenience of my home. Even homework tasks such as the one I am doing now can be done with the use of a computer. Besides needing my computer for school related projects, I use my computer in my free time for fun. This includes being able to play games with friends, chat quickly and easily, and the use of media. I can watch videos and listen to music with a few clicks of a button, and music is one of my favorite ways to pass the time. As much as I love having a computer, I know very little about the machine. However, this is one of the great features of it. To use it properly and to accomplish tasks, you don't need to be a computer wiz to get the job done. Most of the programs are easy to use and there are even ways to look up help onilne using the wonderful internet. Computers are all around great pieces of equipment because they can do anything most other gadgets can but more effectively and it's generally easier to use in my opinion. A computer is an Mp3 player, an instrucional guide, a movie theatre, a calculator, a game system, and so much more all in one package. This is why I consider my computer to be one of my most highly prized possession. I don't know how I would accomplish half the tasks I can now without it.

Without a computer this blog would not be possible nor would a lot of other things that are taken for granted in peoples every day lives. Out of all of my gadgets the most prized one is without a doubt my computer, and for several very good reasons too! The main reason that my computer is important to me is because I constructed it all myself. I paid for all the components myself, installed all of the hardware myself, and also installed the operating system with all the programs by myself. In total I have about $500 in my computer but if I were to have bought the equivalent of my computer at a store it would have ran well over $1000. My computer is equipped with 2 gigabytes of DDR2 RAM, a 7800gt 256 megabyte video card, has an AMD Athlon 64 4000+ processor, and is capable of running any video game on the market with amazing graphics and speed. Computers are also very useful for little things here and there that we don’t even consider. For example if I wanted to know more about a certain topic I would have to use an encyclopedia, dictionary, or even go to the library. With today’s technology, now all I have to do is get on the computer and all of the information ,and more, is readily available at my finger tips. Like most people, without my computer I would be lost and maybe a little less lazy but I know I could live without it for sure because I am not the type person who lives only for their computer!

My Most Prized Possession:Today, many teenagers consider high-tech objects such as cell phones, computers, t.v., and the other not-so high tech things, such as clothes, money, etc. to be their most "prized possesions". But it turns out there are so much more valuable things in life a person can posess that can actually be memorable, and not just for the entertainment of people. I have many prized possessions, and it's really hard to pick just one, but a possession I most care for is a necklace that once belonged to my grandmother. This necklace I speak of is a sterling silver Star of David which hangs upon a sterling silver chain. Also, I don't know where this came from, but my grandma also had a very thin, wonderfully crafted heart hanging from the necklace, as well. My grandmother ALWAYS wore that necklace, for 13 years, that is, because that's how long she had had it. It's very precious to me because the day I possesed it was the day my grandma died. And I was in the passenger's seat right next to her.See, when I was born, my mom didn't make very wise choices, so my grandma took me in as her own and for as long as I can remember, I always called her "Mom". And I lived with her for 13 years of my life. We were coming back from an appointment with my counselor and I, at which, before we left, my grandma told me in front of my counselor, "Caiti, I want you to learn something right now: I won't always be with you, and I need you to be a good girl..." After we left, and got in the van, everything was fine and dandy.....until I looked up and saw a red van coming our way...very closely, before I felt a terrible jerk, and blacked out. This was all on May 19, 2005.Next thing I know, people are standing around me and asking me questions and I am laying in a cornfield, can't hardly move my legs or my head without wincing and excruciating pain. Then somebody handed me that necklace. With just the heart. The Star of David was missing, and afterwards, nobody could find it, and I still don't have it, and it makes me soooo mad. Why, you ask? Because the star was something my grandma bought on a mission's trip to Israel with our church in February of 1992. This was a couple weeks before the day of my birth, which, my grandma was sent a letter from my mom saying I was going to be born five weeds early, premature. So, now you can see why the necklace is so important to me. It's a part of before my past, my past, of right now, and the future.Caitland Dolt 472 wordsNicks' most prized possession

My most prized possession is my iPod because my favorite thing to do in the whole entire world is listen to music. I love all kinds of music and I think that it is just so soothing to come home from a long day at school and put on my headphones and listen to a bunch of different genres of music. I tend to listen to different music depending on what mood I am in. I love to go into my room at night, turn my iPod on, and just fall asleep listening to my favorite songs. It’s like when I am listening to my iPod I can just forget all my problems and escape for a little while. I can forget about what homework is due tomorrow or that I forgot to study for my college chemistry test and just sit back and relax. I do not know what I would do if I ever lost my iPod. I would probably have to steal my brothers, luckily we like the same music, because if I did not have my music I would be lost. I find it really relaxing to just sit back and get lost in the lyrics. When I am listening to the words of a song I think “is this about something special or is it just a bunch of jumbled up words put together to make a song lyric?” I think that the lyrics are just so powerful and if you really listen to a song you can get something out of the lyrics. I think a lot of songs are just a bunch of garbage put together in a few lines, but there are also songs that have meaning and that can make you think about what those words are about.

Isn’t it kind of strange that my most prized possession would be a tiny box? While some might think it is, I think not because inside this chest are my past achievements, awards, and most valuable items. This box reflects what I have done in my life, so far. Every time I receive something that means much to me, I collect it and place it into the crate. The chest is so valuable to me because it gives me inspiration whenever I open it. It tells me how much better I can do but also how good I have done. It can motivate me to want to work hard and can take me away from the world around me to relieve me from stress. This small 13 X 12 X 10 inch box can solve some of my everyday problems. Now isn’t that hard to believe? During the Christmas of 2002 I received this gift at my grandmas and grandpas house. Until then I have been piling in the awards and achievements every opportunity I’ve had. Some of the possessions in my chest vary from track ribbons to baseball medals, dating back from the year 1999. Also I have a confirmation plaque from

The most Important thing for a students in my opinion would have to be the Internet and a computer because it is a great source for learning. Students use the Internet for research reports and projects where they have to find and record information. There are also many tools for learning such at Study Island, which works very well for teaching kids. Even today there are online courses that can be taken and even online textbooks where all students need is a computer with Internet access. Using word to type our reports or even making power point presentations is another reason why computers are one of the most important things to have.
Computers are also a great way to stay connected with friends and family through email and online chat. Meeting new friends from around the world is also fun and exciting to do with computers. Sitting down at a computer and playing some of the many games, that can be bought and played on a computer, is a great way to relax after a hard day. The computers and the Internet are just great tools for finding any king of information’s that you need or would like to know.
These are just some of the reasons why the computer and the Internet are priceless things to have that you can use. The Internet is a marvel that no person should be without because it can make life so much easier.

Though I have very many prized possessions, the one I value most, after my family of course, is my bed. I sleep in my bed a lot. One reason why i absolutely adore my bed is because it is very comfortable. When I lie down upon it, it is like I am landing on a big fluffy cloud that rests in heaven. It is so comfortable that even a person who thinks everything is uncomfortable would think it is comfortable. Another reason why it is one of my most prized possessions is because covering it is a Notre Dame Fighting Irish bed spread. Notre Dame is my favorite team if one did not know. It is a navy blue comforter with a green Notre Dame logo on it, and the rest of the sheets are white with green stripes up and down it with the Fighting Irish dude at the ends in a row. Also on my bed is a Notre Dame fleece blanket that is just awesome! Then above my bed hang to banners: a Notre Dame banner and an Ohio State banner since I was raised a buckeye and still like them. Also, I have had my bed since I was about four years old and there is a dip in the matress where i sleep every night. When I am lying in bed at night I listen to my ipod, and usually I fall asleep knowing that I am lying on the most comfortable bed ever! Until next time, make it a great day or not, the choice is yours!

I thought that I had alot of prized possessions, but when it really came up to it i found that my most prized possession is my cell phone. I'm on my cell phone almost 24/7 unless im at school then its off of course. I really don not talk on my phone I mostly use it for just texting. I have got so good that I do not even have to look at the phone to text. The razer is the type of phone I have. There are so many types of phone covers for my phone on top my nightstand. I have had my phone for about nine months. When I get my phone takein away I do not know what i'm going to do. It's already hard enough not to text during school then when you can text at home. Right now I have a blue and yellow phone cover on my phone. Usally I change the phone cover every week, but latley I have not changed it. When I am talking to someone I can still cary on a convershion and still be able to text at the same time. My phone is so important to me! One time I could not find it and I acually started to cry because I could not find it! I do not care about anything more then my cell phone. So I would say it was my most prized possession. Also I have never cryed about losing something before untill it came to my phone. I love my phone, it is my most prized possession!
